How to Join
Membership is open to individuals of any ancestry who proudly share in the spirit, vitality, integrity and
sense of justice associated with the Irish and are in agreement with and support the purposes of this Society.
However, individuals seeking first-time membership must have their applications approved by the Board before
becoming members.
There are five classes of membership:
- Active
- Associate
- Honorary
- Complimentary
- Founding
Active membership shall be open to all active and retired law enforcement officers (Federal, State and Local)
and other criminal justice personnel dedicated to enforcing and upholding the laws and Constitution of the United States
of America and the State of Minnesota. Only active members shall be eligible to vote on matters pertaining to the Society.
Associate membership shall be open to those who share in the principal beliefs of the Society and do not qualify for
Active Membership. Associate members shall have no voice in nor vote on matters pertaining to the Society.
Associate membership entitles the holder to participate in the social and charitable activities of the Society.
Honorary membership shall be limited to deserving, right-minded individuals as shall be recommended to and unanimously
approved by the Board of Directors. Only Active members may make Honorary membership recommendations to the Board of
Directors. Honorary members shall have no voice in nor vote on matters pertaining to the Society.
Complimentary membership may be granted by the Board to those persons or organizations whose membership in the Society
the Board believes will benefit the Society as a whole. Complimentary members shall have no voice in nor vote on matters
pertaining to the Society.
Founding membership shall be available to active members only during the society's first year of existence and as such
will close permanently on January 1 of 1993, after which no additional founding members may be added. Founding members
must submit an additional one hundred dollars in dues during that period of time. Addendum 93A shall be a complete list
of founding members.
